By placing an order or using our website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before ordering — especially our custom cake policies.

1. About Sweets by Dani

Sweets by Dani (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a bakery, cafe, and custom cake studio based in Denville, New Jersey. We operate as a small business and take pride in handcrafting every item. These Terms govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products and services.

2. Ordering & Order Acceptance

All orders — whether placed online, by phone, or in person — are subject to availability and our confirmation.
An order is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment (as applicable) and a written/electronic confirmation from us.
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion (e.g., if the requested design conflicts with our standards or capacity).
Please ensure all order details (flavor, size, date, design) are accurate. You are responsible for reviewing your order confirmation and notifying us of any errors within 24 hours.

3. Custom Cake Orders

Custom cakes require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order price to secure your date.
The remaining balance is due at least 7 days before your pickup date. Orders with outstanding balances will not be released.
Final design approval must be confirmed at least 5 business days before pickup. Changes requested after this point may incur additional charges or may not be possible.
Any design reference images (photos, inspirations) submitted by the customer are used for guidance only. Sweets by Dani creates all cakes as original works of art — exact replicas are not guaranteed.
Cake toppers, fresh flowers, candles, or other non-edible decorations are the responsibility of the customer unless agreed upon in writing at the time of order.

4. Pricing

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice for future orders.
Quoted prices are valid for 14 days from the date of the quote.
Applicable New Jersey sales tax will be added to all orders.
Rush orders (requested less than 7 days in advance) may be subject to an additional rush fee.

5. Pickup Policy

All orders are pickup only unless delivery has been explicitly arranged and confirmed in writing.
Please pick up your order at the scheduled time. Late pickups may result in quality degradation, and Sweets by Dani is not responsible for product quality after the pickup window has passed.
If the order is not collected by the End of the Day, then we have the right to sell to the general public next day, and no refund will be issued.

6. Product Quality & Satisfaction

All products are made fresh and are perishable. Proper storage instructions will be provided at pickup.
If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup with photos of the concern. We handle each situation on a case-by-case basis.
We cannot offer refunds or replacements based on subjective taste preferences when the product was made as ordered.

7. Intellectual Property

All photos, designs, recipes, and content on this website are the intellectual property of Sweets by Dani. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission. When you share photos of our cakes, we appreciate a credit tag!

8. Limitation of Liability

Sweets by Dani’s total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the total amount paid for that specific order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of enjoyment of an event due to order-related issues.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Morris County, New Jersey.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
